Falling standards should not be blamed on classroom leaders.
Teachers should take heart from the latest statistics on schooling in Victoria. In fact, they would do well to keep a copy of the Summary Statistics for Victorian Schools in their pockets so they can refer to it as a defence against criticism that they are to blame for the sky falling on the education system.
