Tina Photakis, our current host

Tina and I have both been having some technical difficulties this week which have made it difficult to put her profile up on our blog. She’s doing a great job hosting the account, engaging people in all sorts of discussions, particularly about technology.

Here is a profile of Tina taken from her about.me page

Tina is a well respected, and highly connected educator from Adelaide, South Australia. Passionate about the use of ICT to enhance learning in teaching, Tina has been a long standing member of the committee of the Computers in Education Group of South Australia (CEGSA) now known as EdTechSA.

Tina is well known for her work with ThinkQuest, Greek Language teaching, Project Based Learning (PBL), and the Department for Education and Child Development (DECD). She’s been involved with the trials of the Australian Curriculum for History and Geography and is a well respected member of staff at Cowandilla Primary School. She is also CEGSA Educator of the Year for 2011, State conference convenor and is currently CEGSA’s Vice President.
